Student Services
A one-time registration fee of $15 covers all materials and
unlimited use of these services:*
Consultation
A one-on-one consultation
allows us to gauge each student's strengths and weaknesses
to determine how we can help.
Volunteer Tutoring
Volunteer tutors provide
confidential, one-on-one tutoring in these areas for all
ages:

Reading and comprehension and writing
skills as well as algebra, geometry, calculus and basic
math.

English as a second language
-
G.E.D.
preparation
Marion Foster Resource Room
The Resource room provides our
community with workbooks, textbooks, computer software,
educational games, and information about learning
disabilities and other educational challenges.

Specialty Student Services
Beacon Literacy
Program
A one-on-one program for severe reading difficulties. 20
sessions in 10 weeks to improve decoding and spelling
skills. Beacon can help readers who are:
- Unable to
discriminate sound patterns within a word
- Unable to
categorize such sounds
- Dyslexic
- Dysphonetic

Irlen Syndrome Screening
Irlen Syndrome is a visual-perceptual problem that may cause reading problems, poor handwriting, eye-strain, fatigue, headaches, or poor comprehension. It can be treated with overlays and lenses,
and we test to screen, with certified screeners.
Sumner County
residents: $75 for screening.*
Non-residents add $10*
